Endoscopic ultrasound developer Olympus said that its ultrasound endoscopes will be now be driven by the ProSound F75 ultrasound processor.
The new processor, which was developed in partnership with ultrasound vendor Hitachi Aloka Medical, offers improved workflow enhancements and improved visualization for more accurate blood-flow information, according to Olympus.
ProSound F75 also features adjustable height and depth of the keyboard and monitor, and it includes capabilities to support quick tasks and examinations in every clinical setting, Olympus said. It's also forward- and backward-compatible to allow it to work with most endoscopic ultrasound and endobronchial ultrasound scopes, according to the firm.
Olympus plans to showcase ProSound F75 at the Digestive Disease Week 2013 annual meeting being held May 18 to 21 in Orlando, FL.
