Medical equipment manufacturer Mindray Medical International credited strong sales growth in Western Europe for its improved third-quarter net revenue (end-September 30).
Third-quarter revenue increased 15% to $296.3 million, compared with $257.1 million in the third quarter of 2012. Net income declined to $30.1 million, compared with $35.8 million in last year's third quarter.
For the nine-month period, net revenue increased to $845.6 million, compared with $743.9 million in the same period of 2012. Net income also rose to $153.4 million, compared with net income of $125.4 million in the same period a year ago.
Mindray also noted that recent weak market conditions in China have delayed some purchases in 2013.
