Samsung has released the latest version of its premium ultrasound scanner for women's health.
The WS80A with Elite system features enhanced diagnostic capabilities and image performance based on the company's WS80A platform.
Enhancements include:
- S-Vue Transducer for broader bandwidth and enhanced sensitivity
- Enhanced color sensitivity in 3D and Doppler images
- A 23-inch-wide LED screen for color representation and enhanced vision of ultrasound images
Scanning capabilities include 5D Heart, which semiautomatically obtains nine cardiac diagnostic planes for more intuitive and in-depth fetal screening based on spatio-temporal image correlation (STIC) data, as well as 5D CNS (central nervous system), which simplifies workflow and reduces scan time by extracting six biometric measurements from three transverse planes of a fetal brain. The protocol also acquires key indicators for quick fetal brain diagnosis.
The launch of WS80A with Elite came at this week's 24th World Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Barcelona, Spain.
