Siemens Healthcare has unveiled a new ultrasound scanner, Acuson X600, for general imaging, ob/gyn, and cardiology.
The midrange ultrasound system includes features such as real-time spatial compounding and tissue-contrast techniques for artifact reduction and improved border detection, thus offering better detail and contrast resolution, according to the company. Three new volume transducers provide 3D/4D image quality for visualization of complex fetal and maternal anatomy.
The system also features a suite of syngo knowledge-based workflow tools. Acuson X600 will benefit from software and hardware technologies pioneered on higher-end Siemens systems, the firm said.
