Medical imaging table and accessory supplier Biodex Medical Systems plans to unveil a new mobile x-ray barrier and enhancements to its SoundPro table at the RSNA 2014 meeting in Chicago.
Featuring an hourglass design that allows for hands-on patient access, Clear-Lead personal mobile barrier is height-adjustable, according to the firm. Its window is anatomically positioned with cutouts for the user's arms to provide protection and continuous contact with the patient, Biodex said.
Biodex also plans to highlight enhancements to its SoundPro combination table for ultrasound and echocardiography procedures. New upgrades include a cardiac drop-down cushion that releases from either side of the table, and flush-mounted side rails that stow beneath the table when not in use, according to the company.
