Neural Analytics has announced the commercial launch of its Lucid M1 transcranial Doppler ultrasound unit.
The portable brain monitoring system is designed to measure cerebral blood-flow velocities within the head and neck. The company has also joined the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology (SVIN) to support Mission 2020, an initiative to improve stroke care worldwide by significantly increasing treatments for eligible patients and reducing global stroke disability.
SVIN will partner with several government and industry collaborators to achieve the initiative, focusing on efforts to improve public awareness of stroke symptoms, supporting legislation to encourage rapid triage of stroke patients, establishing financial initiatives to improve access to care for countries without health insurance, and encouraging the development of new technologies to improve stroke assessment and treatment, the firm said.
