Ultrasound technology developer Rivanna Medical said it has received three notices of allowance for patent applications covering its Accuro ultrasound-based guidance system and Accuro Locator needle guide.
Rivanna received notices of allowance for two patent applications (13/574,738 and 13/922,324) from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and one application (2014-508505) from Japan. The notices of allowance confirm the examinations of the patent applications and likely will result in the issuing of a patent, according to the firm.
Rivanna said it also has additional patent applications currently being reviewed by patent offices around the world.
