Royal Philips, the parent company of Philips Healthcare, is unveiling a suite of ultrasound visualization tools at this week's American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) annual meeting in San Diego.

The new capabilities include TrueVue, GlassVue, and aReveal A.I. and are available on the company's Epiq 7 and 5 and Affiniti 70 and 50 ultrasound systems.

The visualization tools work together to enable photorealistic, transparent, and 3D visualization in one touch, the firm said:

  • TrueVue photorealistic 3D visualization is a proprietary advanced 3D ultrasound display method that gives the operator the ability to move the light source anywhere in the 3D volume.
  • GlassVue transparent 3D visualization has an internal light source and provides an early, more transparent view of the fetal anatomy than traditional ultrasound.
  • aReveal A.I. is an anatomically intelligent ultrasound 3D fetal face algorithm that automatically removes extraneous information to reveal the 3D fetal face.

The firm now also offers MaxVue high-definition display and active native data, allowing clinicians to experience ultrasound imaging in 16:9 full high definition with over 1 million more pixels than standard format mode, according to Philips.
