Nanosonics announced that its new trophon2 high-level disinfection (HLD) system for ultrasound probes is now available in the U.S. and Canada.
Trophon2 HLD generates a hydrogen peroxide mist that kills drug-resistant bacteria, fungi, and viruses, according to the firm. It is validated for use with more than 1,000 different probes across all major ultrasound companies, Nanosonics said.
The company plans to highlight the new device at the upcoming 2018 Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) meeting in Orlando, FL.
