Keepsake ultrasounds have gotten their fair share of criticism, but women's interest in pictures of their unborn babies hasn't abated. In fact, there's a new trend for gestational ultrasound images: using them as part of a manicure, according to an October 10 article in Cosmopolitan.
Women are bringing their prenatal ultrasound images to their manicurists, who then paint the images on their fingernails.
"It might sound weird to get a photo of an ultrasound painted on your fingernails, but it's the perfect accessory for baby showers and gender reveals, and it's exactly what many women are doing to celebrate their bundles of joy," wrote Cosmopolitan reporter Shannon Barbour.
