Ultrasound developer Fujifilm SonoSite has entered into an agreement with Intelligent Ultrasound Group to develop point-of-care clinician training programs.

The initiative will use Intelligent Ultrasound Group's BodyWorks Eve ultrasound training simulator and the HeartWorks transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) simulator training platforms to train clinicians on Fujifilm SonoSite's point-of-care ultrasound systems.

BodyWorks Eve is designed to help clinicians recognize common abnormalities and pathology by viewing 100 patient scans and more than 10,000 pathological variations across cardiac, lung, transabdominal, and pelvic ultrasound applications. The goal is to prepare the clinicians for point-of-care ultrasound in emergency medicine and critical care settings.

The HeartWorks TTE simulator is designed to aid point-of-care ultrasound users in understanding cardiac anatomy, while the HeartWorks TEE simulator will help point-of-care ultrasound users develop cognitive and psychomotor skills.
