Ultrasound developer Fujifilm SonoSite has launched a new point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) scanner called Sonosite PX that has better image clarity, workflow efficiency features, and an adaptable form factor.
Sonosite PX has a work surface that can be used in a horizontal or vertical position based on the needs of the exam. It also has an adjustable height that makes it more ergonomic, and its small footprint makes it easier to position it by the bed where onboard documentation can be acquired, Fujifilm SonoSite added. On top of that, patient information, reports, and worksheets are placed in one location in the user interface.
Sonosite PX and its transducers were drop-tested to 1 m, and the work surface is sealed to the edge for simplified cleaning and disinfection, the firm added.
Fujifilm SonoSite also expanded its 3D animation educational videos to more than 140 onboard scan-along education tutorials for Sonosite PX.
