Butterfly Network, Caption Health form strategic partnership

Butterfly Network and Caption Health announced a strategic partnership to integrate their products for use in cardiac ultrasound.

Butterfly manufactures Butterfly iQ+, a handheld whole-body ultrasound device, while Caption Health is the developer of Caption AI, an artificial intelligence (AI)-guided ultrasound software program for acquiring and interpreting ultrasound exams.

The companies said they expect to introduce a platform that combines Caption's AI algorithm with Butterfly iQ+ scanners for use in cardiac ultrasound in the U.S. later this year.
