Philips Healthcare company Royal Philips announced the launch of a vendor-neutral echocardiography image analysis and reporting platform at the American College of Cardiology's Annual Scientific Session & Expo (ACC2022).

Ultrasound Workspace offers artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled automated 2D and 3D quantification for web-accessible echocardiography analysis and reporting. It aims to enable seamless diagnostic workflows and help speed up quantitative measurements such as left ventricular ejection fraction.

Ultrasound Workspace is built on TomTec-Arena software from TomTec Imaging Systems, which Philips acquired in 2017, and it replaces Philips' existing QLAB cardiovascular ultrasound quantification software. Also, it incorporates TomTec's QualitySeal measurement assessment capabilities, which are based on American Society of Echocardiography and Intersocietal Accreditation Commission standards.

Furthermore, the workspace can be deployed standalone or integrated into PACS and EMR echocardiography reading workflows.
