Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) developer Fujifilm Sonosite has hired Richard Kelly as its new vice president (VP) of R&D.
A R&D veteran in both the medical technology and automotive industries, Kelly comes to Fujifilm Sonosite after serving as senior director of R&D and site lead for sleep and respiratory care at Philips. He has also been director of research and development for respiratory and monitoring solutions at Medtronic.
In his new role, Kelly will be responsible for driving product vision and innovation in POCUS and ultrahigh-frequency ultrasound, according to the vendor.
