GE HealthCare (GEHC) has secured the CE Mark for both its wireless handheld ultrasound system, Vscan Air SL, and its electrocardiogram (ECG)-less cardiac CT Revolution Apex Elite platform.
Vscan Air SL wireless features the company's Caption AI, an AI-driven software for cardiac assessments at the point of care, according to the firm. Once a user captures an image, Vscan Air SL's AutoEF (ejection fraction) feature automatically calculates a left ventricular ejection fraction, which is a key measure of heart function.
Its Revolution Apex Elite platform allows clinicians to acquire cardiac images without need for a patient's electrocardiogram (ECG) signal/trace, GE said.
The company plans to highlight both Vscan Air SL and Revolution Apex Elite at the upcoming European Society of Cardiology meeting in London.
