Computerized Thermal Imaging sold its first 10 thermal breast cancer imaging systems to a Latin American consortium based in Mexico, CTI has announced. The systems represent the first of 100 units the thermal imaging consortium has agreed to purchase, according to Lawton, UT-based CTI.
Company president and COO David Packer called the sale a significant event in CTI's corporate history, and CTI's first significant revenue source. The firm is seeking Food and Drug Administration approval for use of its computerized thermal imaging system in the U.S. as an adjunct to mammography and clinical examination for the detection of breast cancer.
