Computer-aided detection firm CADx Medical Systems of Laval, Quebec, has released its Second Look CAD system for availability in Europe, Latin America, Canada, and Asia Pacific, according to digitizer partner Howtek.
Hudson, NH-based Howtek’s MultiRAD 850 medical film digitizer is included as a component of the Second Look system, which is designed to identify suspicious microcalcifications and masses on mammograms. Second Look will be available in the U.S. following Food and Drug Administration clearance, according to the companies.
