iMammogram.com has launched CloserLook, a new computer-aided detection (CAD) service. CloserLook employs R2 Technology’s ImageChecker device and will be available at participating mammography centers in the U.S. and via the Web at www.imammogram.com, according to the Westlake Village, CA-based company.
A woman who has recently undergone a mammogram can request CloserLook from a participating mammography center, or can log onto iMammogram.com’s Web site to request a CloserLook analysis of her mammograms.
After processing the mammograms, iMammogram.com will return the films to the mammography facility where the mammogram was originally performed, according to the firm. The woman’s radiologist can then compare his or her diagnosis to the ImageChecker computer analysis, paying specific attention to any abnormalities detected by the computer.
The cost of the service is $75 via the Internet; the price varies at participating mammography centers, according to iMammogram.com.
In related news, iMammogram.com has named Danna Campbell president and CEO. Campbell has over 19 years of corporate financial and management experience, and most recently served as the CEO and COO of golf course management firm Capital Golf.
