Optical breast imaging developer DOBI Medical Systems of Mahwah, NJ, has received $7 million in financing, according to its investment firm, Sterling Financial Investment Group. Sterling said it raised the financing through retail and institutional investors in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe.
The DOBI system is currently being tested at institutions such as Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ.
