A spokesman for Del Global Technologies Medical Systems Group today confirmed the termination of president David Engel and chief financial officer Michael Taber.
One of the terminated executives served as CFO from January 1995 to August 1998, while the other served as CFO from January 1993 to December 1995 and from September 1998 to this month, Del said in a statement released yesterday.
The Valhalla, NY-based firm did not provide any further information about the terminations, although Del did announce in November a delayed filing of its 10-K pending a review of its financial results for fiscal 1999 and 2000. Del said at the time that it was taking steps to strengthen its internal accounting procedures.
Del also announced the promotion of Del Medical Imaging senior vice president of operations Walter Schneider to president. Prior to joining Del in September, Schneider was president of Trex Medical’s Bennett, Continental, and XRE subsdiaries. Del will hire a new CFO and corporate controller in the near future, according to Del Global chairman, CEO, and president Leonard Trugman.
