R2 Technology's ImageChecker system has been used to aid in the interpretation of the mammograms of over one million women in Europe, Asia, and North America, according to the Los Altos, CA-based computer-aided detection developer. Studies show that for every 100,000 cancers currently detected by screening mammography, the use of the ImageChecker could result in the early detection of up to an additional 20,500 breast cancers, according to R2.
