QCC adds mammography seminars

QCC Mammography Viewbox Seminars has added several new course offerings. New seminars offered by the mammography technologist training program include:

  • Positive patient relations
  • Communication strategies for mammographers
  • Live demonstration of stereotactic procedures
  • Computer-assisted detection (CAD)
  • Positioning the augmented breast: lecture and workshop

The seminars, which are run by Breast Health Educators in Pine Valley, CA, are offered at 15 locations in the U.S. and Canada. The curriculum meets Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and American College of Radiology requirements for continuing education for mammography specialists, according to the company.
