Mammography vendor Fischer Imaging of Denver has recommended Eastman Kodak's DryView 8610 laser imaging system for use with its recently approved SenoScan full-field digital mammography system (FFDM). Fischer said that the Rochester, NY-based vendor's laser imager converts SenoScan's digital images to archival quality without the use of wet chemistry, and can accurately convert SenoScan's increased field of view to film. Fischer received Food and Drug Administration clearance for SenoScan last week, joining GE Medical Systems as the only firms marketing FFDM systems in the U.S.
