R2 sues ISSI

Computer-aided detection developer R2 Technology has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against fellow CAD firm Intelligent Systems Software (ISSI). The formal complaint, filed yesterday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, alleges that Boca Raton, FL-based ISSI infringes three R2 patents. The patents address the ways in which R2's products scan, process, and display images, according to the Sunnyvale, CA-based vendor.
