Digital x-ray and mammography provider Hologic has been awarded a multiyear contract with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) national acquisition center (NAC). The Bedford, MA-based developer will be providing the NAC its Epex and Radex digital radiography systems for general radiographic applications, its Lorad line of breast imaging systems for mammography and stereotactic biopsy procedures, and its Fluoroscan line of mini C-arm systems for orthopedic applications. The NAC is the contracting and purchasing arm for VA facilities, Indian Health Services, and some Air Force bases.
