Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston has signed on to conduct a clinical study of Computerized Thermal Imaging's breast imaging system, according to CTI of Lake Oswego, OR.
The study, which will begin in the fall, will be led by MGH surgical oncologist Dr. Kevin Hughes, in association with director of breast imaging Dr. Daniel Kopans. The researchers will study the thermal imaging unit's potential to reduce the number of benign biopsies.
