GE Medical Systems has begun producing a mobile version of its Senographe 2000D full-field digital mammography (FFDM) system. The mobile unit includes Senographe 2000D, an acquisition workstation for image review, and a patient changing area.
The first mobile van is being used by the University of California, San Francisco, according to GE of Waukesha, WI. GE received Food and Drug Administration clearance for the mobile version earlier this year.
