Icad adds MammoReader to military contract

Mammography CAD developer icad has added its MammoReader Computer-Aided Detection device to an existing supply contract between the Defense Supply Center in Philadelphia (DSCP) and Instrumentarium Imaging, icad’s exclusive U.S. distributor, icad said today. The Defense Supply Center in Philadelphia is the contracting arm for the U.S. Department of Defense.

MammoReader, approved by the FDA in January, is designed to provide support to radiologists in the early-stage location and identification of breast cancers, according to Boca Raton, FL-based icad.
