Computer-aided-detection developer R2 Technology has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against CADx Medical Systems of Laval, Quebec, CADx Systems of Northborough, MA, and Qualia Computing, of Beaver Creek, OH. The suit, filed today in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, alleges that the firms' Second Look system infringes three R2 patents.
The R2 patents address the ways in which R2 products scan, process, and display images, according to the Sunnyvale, CA-based vendor. Earlier this year, R2 filed a patent infringement lawsuit against CAD developer Intelligent Systems Software (ISSI), which has since merged with Howtek to form icad.
