iCAD Medical Systems has released a new version of its breast CAD imaging software designed to enhance workflow and productivity.
The new package increases the speed at which the iCAD system digitizes and analyzes groups of mammograms by more than 25%, iCAD said. It allows users to automatically print CAD results for distribution and review in hard copy form, providing several options for viewing CAD results on screen and paper. And compared with previous iterations, the new software enhances the appearance of CAD markers in darker and denser areas of the breast.
The new release also adds functionality to iCAD's internal relational database, distinguishing the product from other CAD schemes that lack an integrated database, according to the company.
In January of this year, Hudson, NH-based iCAD received FDA approval to market its CAD systems in the U.S.
