iCAD introduces new MammoReader version

Boca Raton, FL-based iCAD is introducing a new dual-digitizer version of its MammoReader breast cancer computer-aided detection (CAD) system. The company says the new version can process mammograms up to twice as fast as available alternatives.

In addition to having two digitizers, MammoReader II has a dual-processor workstation that can process up to 39 breast cancer screening cases per hour. The system also includes an integrated scanner/analyzer workstation with a back-lit review panel.

MammoReader II is marketed by Milwaukee-based Instrumentarium Imaging. Mammography clinics can also acquire MammoReader II through an operating lease program recently instituted by iCAD and Instrumentarium.
