Interventional firm Suros Surgical Systems' ATEC breast biopsy system is now compatible with Instrumentarium Imaging's Diamond Delta 32 stereotactic unit, according to Milwaukee-based Instrumentarium. The pneumatic ATEC system is compatible with ultrasound, stereotactic, and MRI technologies, and its automated, disposable handpiece can take 16 biopsies per minute, the vendors said. It uses a 9- or 12-gauge needle diameter when collecting a significant tissue sample, according to the firms.
