GE Healthcare has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval for its new Senographe Essential digital mammography product.
The device features a 24 x 31-cm detector size, which the Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based firm said is the largest active field in the industry. The firm also claimed that the modality's digital detector delivers high detective quantum efficiency (DQE) at low doses.
