Kodak debuts new products at AHRA

Eastman Kodak Health Group of Rochester, NY, is unveiling two new offerings at the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) annual meeting this week.

The Kodak Point-of-Care CR-ITX 560 integrated portable x-ray/computed radiography system combines Kodak's tabletop CR unit with a portable x-ray system from Malvern PA-based Siemens Medical Solutions. CR ITX 560 processes as many as 60 images per hour and supports multiple plate sizes. Kodak plans to make the system available worldwide in November.

Kodak also introduced an automated software package to maintain Kodak CR systems and specialized mammography cassettes and screens. The Kodak DirectView CR Mammography Total Quality Tool software is used with test phantoms in 18 x 24 cm and 24 x 30 cm sizes to measure image quality produced by each Kodak CR system and each cassette used in mammography imaging. The software will be available in the third quarter.
