Japanese monitor manufacturer Totoku Electric has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for its ME551i2 monochrome digital mammography display.
ME551i2 is a 21.3-inch, 5-megapixel LCD with an 11.9-bit grayscale palette and 750 cd/m2 brightness, according to the Tokyo-based firm. It also features a luminance equalizer and the capability to simultaneously display 2,048 shades of gray (11-bit), Totoku said.
The display also includes display accuracy control capability and optional performance monitoring software.
