Women's imaging vendor Hologic of Bedford, MA, has completed its acquisition of mammography pad developer BioLucent of Aliso Viejo, CA.
Hologic announced in June that it was planning to buy BioLucent for $70 million in cash and stock, including a $15 million earn-out if financial targets are met. The company hopes that BioLucent's MammoPad breast cushion will become the standard of care in mammography studies, according to Hologic executives.
