Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, will unveil new works-in-progress screens for its computed radiography (CR) mammography imaging systems at this month's RSNA annual meeting.
The new EHR-M3 screens will feature reduced noise and a higher detective quantum efficiency (DQE) for improved image quality. Availability is slated for the first quarter of 2010.
The screens will be available for use with all existing and new Kodak DirectView CR systems that are equipped with the company's mammography feature, which is available in Canada, Europe, South America, Australia, Asia, and other regions of the world where approved for use.
The expanded portfolio includes advanced mammography-specific features for the company's RIS and PACS platforms; a vendor-neutral, multimodality breast imaging workstation; and digital capture and output systems.
The Carestream Mammography Workstation is designed for diagnostic review of all breast imaging exams (full-field digital mammography, ultrasound, MRI, CR, and others), as well as all general radiology exams.
