Sectra to show new products at RSNA

Swedish PACS and digital mammography developer Sectra of Linköping is planning a range of new product introductions and upgrades at the upcoming RSNA meeting in Chicago.

The company is planning the launch of a new diagnostic mammography workstation based on its new RapidConnect technology, which enables workload sharing across multiple sites, even for large file stacks. The platform will enable remote reading and rapid collaboration in mammography.

The firm will also highlight improved volume visualization functionality that's fully integrated into its PACS software. The feature is designed to improve efficiency and increase communication with referring physicians.

For Sectra's RIS software, the firm will highlight a single-desktop environment and the ability to monitor critical tasks and events in real-time. Radiologists will be able to manage patient data and workflow across the healthcare enterprise from any location, Sectra said.

For the Sectra MicroDose Mammography full-field digital mammography system, the company will feature enhanced performance for high-volume screening, as some Sectra customers perform as many as 15 four-view exams per hour. The company will also show integrated data and image manage software for PACS, with its Sectra Screening RIS and Sectra Breast Imaging PACS.
