Net sales for Swedish PACS and digital mammography vendor Sectra of Linköping declined in its second fiscal quarter (end-October 30).
For the second quarter, net sales declined to 193.9 million Swedish kronor ($27.1 million U.S.), compared with 199.4 million kronor ($27.9 million U.S.) in the second quarter of the past fiscal year. Net profit dropped to 900,000 kronor ($126,000 U.S.), compared with net profit of 42 million kronor ($5.8 million U.S.) in the same quarter a year ago.
Net sales for the first half of Sectra's fiscal year increased 5% to 391.7 million Swedish kronor ($54.8 million U.S.), compared with 373.4 million kronor ($52.3 million U.S.) in the same period of the past fiscal year. Six-month net profit was 4.4 million kronor ($600,000 U.S.), compared with 48.2 million kronor ($6.7 million U.S.) in the same period in the past fiscal year.
Net sales for Sectra's Medical Systems business in the first six months of this fiscal year increased 10% to 366.4 million kronor ($51.2 million U.S.), compared with 332.7 million kronor ($46.6 million U.S.) in the same period of the past fiscal year.
