Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, has released an optional upgrade for its computed radiography (CR)-based mammography systems.
The Carestream CR mammography cassette with SNP-M1 screen includes features such as advanced imaging processing software and new premium screens that offer structured needle phosphor (SNP) technology.
The cassette is available in both 18 x 24-cm and 24 x 30-cm sizes. It is being sold on new orders and as an upgrade to existing users of the company's CR mammography feature, which is an option for international users of the company's DirectView Classic, Elite, CR 850, CR 950, and CR 975 systems.
The new cassette is not yet approved for sale in the U.S.
