Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer Parascript has released version 4.0 of its AccuDetect mammography CAD software.
The latest release incorporates significant performance improvements and a greater potential for lowering false-positive rates when detecting suspicious lesions on mammograms, according to the Longmont, CO-based firm.
In other news, Parascript reported that it has received a cash grant of nearly $245,000 under the U.S. government's Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The company said it would use the funds to help support its ongoing research efforts.
