The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given the American College of Radiology (ACR) authority to accredit Sectra's MicroDose L30 full-field digital mammography (FFDM) system.
The ACR said it will begin contacting facilities that currently use Sectra systems under an FDA-approved extended Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) certificate to advise them of this change and how to proceed with accreditation.
