Gov. Peter Shumlin of Vermont has signed a breast density notification bill into law, according to Are You Dense Advocacy.
The bill, SB 157, was introduced by Sen. Joe Benning. It will go into effect January 15, 2017.
The law makes Vermont the 28th state to enact breast density notification legislation, the advocacy group said.
