Twitter can provide invaluable insights into how women perceive their breast screening experience, according to researchers from NYU Langone Medical Center who analyzed almost 500 tweets sent by women who were seen at their facility. The group believes that social media can provide a useful tool for imaging facilities that want to better tailor their offerings to patient expectations.

New PET tracer for concussion
A radiotracer for PET is offering new possibilities for diagnosing concussion, according to a proof-of-concept case study we're highlighting in our Molecular Imaging Community.
Researchers from Mount Sinai in New York City used the flurorine-18-based tracer in a 39-year-old former professional football player who had experienced 22 concussions during his career and who was showing signs of chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
They found that the tracer was able to detect the buildup of tau protein, which is linked to repetitive brain injury. Learn more by clicking here.
