Gov. Terry Branstad of Iowa has signed into law that state's version of breast density notification legislation, making Iowa the 31st U.S. state to do so.
The law will go into effect on January 1, 2018. It is the third notification law passed this month, according to the Are You Dense Advocacy group: On April 6, Gov. John Hickenlooper of Colorado approved a similar law, while Gov. Matt Bevin of Kentucky signed that state's version on April 12.
