Breast imaging software developer Volpara Solutions has unveiled an enhanced version of its VolparaPositioning automated patient-positioning assessment application for mammography.
The software is now based on the new vPGMI image evaluation system, which utilizes volumetric data to perform a complete automated assessment -- based on best practices from around the world -- of patient positioning on every mammogram, according to Volpara. Studies are categorized as perfect, good, moderate, or inadequate (PGMI).
VolparaPositioning is part of the company's VolparaEnterprise analytics package. The company said it will showcase the new version of VolparaPositioning at the 2018 American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Educational Symposium this month in Las Vegas.
