Hologic looks forward to revenue growth in Q1

Women's imaging firm Hologic reported increases in revenue in its first-quarter preliminary results due to large growth in its molecular diagnostics, U.S. breast health, and international businesses.

For the period (end-December 29), Hologic expects total revenues of approximately $831 million, up 5% from revenues for the same fiscal quarter last year. The company's largest businesses -- molecular diagnostics, U.S. breast health, and international -- posted constant currency growths in the double digits.

The company's Breast Health division is expected to report revenue of $325 million for the quarter, up 13% from $288 million in the corresponding quarter of 2018.
