Disposable products developer Merit Medical Systems will introduce ScoutShare, a shared-risk model for marking suspicious breast lesions using Merit's Scout radar localization system, at the upcoming RSNA 2019 meeting in Chicago.
ScoutShare will allow radiologists to receive a rebate of up to 5% of total purchases for Scout reflectors placed in patients with highly suspicious breast lesions who end up not requiring surgery. The shared-risk model can help reduce the occurrence of unnecessary breast lesion localization procedures prior to surgery, the company said.
Merit Medical will also host a series of workshops at RSNA 2019 centered on advanced applications of wire-free breast tumor localization.
