LG debuts monitor optimized for mammography

Display firm LG Electronics now offers a 31-inch 12-megapixel monitor that is optimized for 3D breast imaging.

The display (31HN713D) has a 4200 x 2800-pixel in-plane switching panel that is capable of up to 1080 cd/m2 of brightness. Its screen size and resolution allow the monitor to take the place of two 5-megapixel medical monitors commonly used for diagnostic breast imaging.
